About the Role

We are looking for a part time Optometrist to work 2 days a week, ideally Monday and Tuesday, plus one Saturday in four. Your weekday hours will be 7.30 until 18.00 and Saturday 7.30 until 17.00 with an hour for lunch.

There will also be extra hours to cover holidays, as and when required.

You’ll play a key role in providing expert advice, an opportunity to fit a wide range of contact lenses, and delivering ongoing care that makes patients feel confident, comfortable, and cared for.

You’ll have the time, tools and autonomy to do your job to a high standard, without feeling rushed or restricted. Collaboration is at the heart of the practice, so you’ll work closely with your teams to ensure a smooth patient journey and a great workplace culture.

As our new Optometrist, you’ll carry out thorough eye examinations and provide tailored services and solutions that align with each patient’s lifestyle and needs. You’ll work within GOC guidelines and company policies to deliver expert care, while supporting the team by resolving clinical or technical queries.

Additional Information:

  • You must be registered with the GOC or appropriate governing body in order to apply for this role
  • Our appointment times are 45 minutes
  • Equipment – Paperless – iclarity PMS, Topcon Triton OCT and Daytona Optomap Pre-screen, MYAH axial length measurement for Myopia checks on all children, AVA 100th Dioptre refraction where possible using Essilor VR800 Phoropters, Henson 9000 for fields in each room, iCare tonometry, Colorimetry and ReadEz
  • IDRA dry eye monitoring plus Tearstim IPL and Activa heat and massage technology for dry eye patients
  • We have 3 testing rooms
  • Our extensive range of frames includes; Prada, Swarovski, Paul Smith, Oakley, Ray-Ban, Etnia, Gotti, Persol and Ray-Ban Meta
