About the Role

Join us as an experienced Optical Assistant, with an excellent opportunity to develop further through the Dispensing Optician program.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys connecting with people, building trust with patients, and being part of a supportive team. You’ll help create a smooth and positive experience for every patient who walks through the door.

As an Optical Assistant, you’ll be there for patients from the moment they step through the door. You’ll carry out pre-screening checks, keep records organised and accurate, and help people choose frames that suit both their vision and their style. You’ll also get hands-on with dispensing and spectacle adjustments to make sure every pair fits comfortably and works perfectly. Alongside this, you’ll support the day-to-day running of the practice with essential admin tasks. Most importantly, you’ll bring a warm, friendly approach that helps every patient feel confident and well cared for.

• We are a team of 11
• This role requires you to work some Saturdays
• This is a full time role over 38 hours per week
• 3 plus years optical experience required
