About the Role

Established in 1990, Staples Opticians is a trusted independent practice based in Rotherham. We’re proud to offer a personal service, a wide range of quality frames at great prices, and a loyal patient base that values our friendly, patient-first approach.


We’re looking for an experienced Optical Assistant to join our warm, community-focused team. The main focus of the role is dispensing, so previous experience is essential. We’re seeking someone who delivers excellent patient care with empathy, professionalism, and a personal touch.

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience as an Optical Assistant is highly desired.

  • Hours: 3.5 days per week (26.5 hours)

  • Saturdays: Alternate half-days (9am–1pm, 2 in 4 Saturdays)
