About the Role

As Financial Reporting Manager, you’ll lead the successful onboarding and integration of newly acquired businesses into Hakim Group.

Working closely with Finance, Operations, People, IT, and senior stakeholders, you’ll ensure acquisitions are integrated efficiently, compliantly, and with minimal disruption to colleagues and customers.

This role combines technical accounting expertise with project management and leadership responsibilities, making it ideal for someone who enjoys variety, problem-solving, and driving meaningful change.

You’ll also play a key role in several finance transformation projects, including IFRS implementation, tax software deployment, and process improvement initiatives across the Group.

Key Responsibilities

Acquisition & Integration

  • Lead the accounting and finance workstreams relating to acquisitions and mergers.
  • Manage purchase price allocations and opening balance sheet preparations.
  • Support business combination accounting and acquisition reporting requirements.
  • Work with stakeholders across the Group to deliver successful integration plans.
  • Provide financial insight and support for acquisition appraisals and investment decisions.
  • Ensure newly acquired businesses are successfully embedded into Group systems and processes.

Onboarding

  • Oversee the onboarding of acquired practices across the UK and Ireland.
  • Develop and deliver onboarding programmes tailored to the needs of each acquisition.
  • Build strong relationships with JV partners and practice leaders.
  • Ensure onboarding activities are delivered within agreed timelines.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the onboarding team.
  • Identify opportunities to improve and standardise onboarding processes.

Financial Reporting & Projects

  • Review statutory accounts and support compliance activities.
  • Assist with the Group’s transition to IFRS.
  • Support VAT and corporation tax-related projects.
  • Assist with finance transformation initiatives and system implementations.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement projects across the wider finance function.

The Ideal Candidate

We’re looking for someone who combines strong technical accounting knowledge with excellent organisational and leadership skills.

Essential

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting and statutory accounts.
  • Experience working on acquisitions, mergers, or business integrations.
  • Excellent project management and organisational skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication abilities.
  • Experience leading or mentoring teams.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.

Desirable

  • Experience with acquisition accounting and purchase price allocations.
  • Exposure to IFRS implementation projects.
  • Experience working within a multi-site or acquisitive business.
  • Knowledge of VAT and corporation tax processes.
  • Experience supporting finance transformation initiatives.
