Focus Eye Centre, 18 High Street, Hailsham, East Sussex, BN27 1BJ

Job Type:
Part-Time (3 days per week, including 1 in 4 Saturdays)

We’re looking for an experienced Optical Assistant to join our friendly, clinically focused team at Focus Eye Centre in Hailsham. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a modern, community-based practice with a strong reputation for clinical excellence and outstanding patient care.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Welcoming and assisting patients throughout their visit
• Pre-screening and supporting clinical testing
• Advising patients on frame and lens selection
• Managing appointments, records, and front-of-house operations
• Supporting the team with daily practice needs

About You:

• Previous experience as an Optical Assistant is essential
• Friendly, professional, and passionate about patient care
• Confident in clinical support and dispensing
• Organised and a great team player
• Keen to learn and develop in a clinical environment

Location:

Focus Eye Centre is located in the heart of Hailsham, a charming East Sussex market town with excellent transport links and a friendly community atmosphere — an ideal setting for providing personal, high-quality eye care.

Schedule:

• 3 days per week
• 1 in 4 Saturdays required
• Flexibility on working days will be discussed at interview
