The Role

As an Experienced Optical Assistant, you’ll be an integral part of our friendly team, providing expert advice and outstanding customer service. Your responsibilities will include:

✔️ Assisting customers in selecting the perfect eyewear, offering honest and knowledgeable style advice
✔️ Carrying out fittings and adjustments to ensure comfort and correct vision
✔️ Processing orders and handling prescriptions with accuracy and attention to detail
✔️ Booking and managing appointments to keep our practice running smoothly
✔️ Handling payments and processing transactions
✔️ Keeping up-to-date with the latest eyewear trends and brands
✔️ Helping with merchandising and maintaining our stylish boutique space

What We’re Looking For

🔹 Previous experience as an Optical Assistant is essential
🔹 A passion for eyewear and fashion, with a keen eye for style
🔹 Excellent customer service and communication skills
🔹 Confidence in working with prescriptions and adjustments
🔹 A friendly and professional attitude

The Details

📍 Location: Frames in the Lanes, Brighton – based in the famous Lanes, our boutique is surrounded by fantastic cafes, independent shops, and just a short walk from Brighton Station. We’re well connected by public transport, with easy access to buses and trains.

💷 Salary: £25,000- £27,000 DOE

🕰 Working Pattern: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & Saturday
