About the Role
Ladybrook Eyecare is located in the beautiful, leafy area of Bramhall. We are an independent optical practice that has been established for over 17 years. We welcome patients of all ages, who can expect a friendly and professional service from a team that is passionate, experienced, and dedicated to eye care.
We are looking for a full-time Optical Assistant. You will have excellent communication skills, a friendly nature, and a genuine passion for helping people. You will also be eager to continue learning, develop your career, and make a valued contribution to the Bramhall community.
Dispensing & patient care (core part of the role)

Confidently supporting dispensing across frames and lenses as part of daily clinical practice

Guiding patients through their options in a clear, relaxed, and supportive way

Helping maintain consistency in dispensing standards across the practice

Acting as a reliable point of support for less experienced team members as they develop
Patient experience & standards

Being a visible, welcoming presence in the practice

Supporting patients throughout their journey with warmth and professionalism

Handling questions or concerns calmly and appropriately
Operations & organisation

Managing the diary to ensure smooth clinic flow

Supporting specialist services such as dry eye and myopia management

Ensuring systems and processes are followed consistently
Commercial confidence (with support)

Confidently discussing value and options with patients in a natural, patient-first way

Supporting high-quality dispensing outcomes aligned with our ethos

Being open to coaching and development in this area; perfection is not expected from day one
Full training is provided depending on your experience. You may already have extensive optical experience, or you may be starting from the ground up. Your salary will reflect your experience and skill level.
