About the Role

We are looking for a full or part-time Optometrist to join us in delivering outstanding patient care. You’ll play a key role in providing expert advice, fitting a wide range of contact lenses, and delivering ongoing care that makes patients feel confident, comfortable, and cared for.

This is a role for someone who values the clinical side of the job, who enjoys building trust with patients from a variety of backgrounds, and who thrives in a team that supports each other. You’ll have the time, tools and autonomy to do your job to a high standard, without feeling rushed or restricted. Collaboration is at the heart of the practice, so you’ll work closely with your teams to ensure a smooth patient journey and a great workplace culture.

The practice recently underwent a full remodelling with OCT and iCare in both test rooms and an Oculera VR fields screener in one and a Humphrey Field Analyser in the other. We perform 45 minute sight tests and collaborate with Albyn Hospital and Vision Scotland to provide the best in private patient care. You’ll also have the opportunity to be involved with the suppliers of our exciting brands and provide myopia management solutions through a variety of products.

As our new Optometrist, you’ll carry out thorough eye examinations and provide tailored services and solutions that align with each patient’s lifestyle and needs. You’ll work within GOC guidelines and company policies to deliver expert care, while supporting the team by resolving clinical or technical queries. Your role also includes liaising with external professionals, maintaining practice equipment and contributing your knowledge and ideas to the ongoing success of the practice.

  • You must be registered with the GOC in order to apply for this role
  • Our frame selection includes Chanel (including sun), Lindberg, Face a Face, Theo, Morel, L.A. Eyeworks, RayBan Meta and more
  • We have 2 consulting rooms
  • We are a team of 9
  • This role requires you to work at least one Saturday a month
  • Our appointment times are 45 minutes
