Ideally we are looking for someone who has experience in a bookkeeping role and who is studying towards AAT/ACCA/CIMA.

About the Role

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Complete accurate bookkeeping for several entities in line with monthly deadlines through posting revenue, processing purchase invoices and calculating prepayments and accruals.
  • Management of purchase invoice OCR tool (Yooz), keeping the number of outstanding invoices down to an agreed number.
  • Allocate bank transactions to revenue generated and to purchase invoices.
  • Complete monthly bank reconciliations ensuring everything is on Sage Intaact and that it balances.
  • Reconcile the creditors ledger to supplier statements.
  • Request missing invoices from the practices and develop good working relationships with practices to aid this process.
  • Reconcile wages control accounts.
  • Ensure accuracy of financial information by reviewing the practice Dashboards, investigating any discrepancies and resolving or providing feedback where necessary.
  • There will be a requirement to carry out other duties as and when the business requires.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills and the ability to liaise with practices confidently and professionally.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines.
  • A keen eye for detail and precision.
  • A “can do” attitude and common-sense approach.
