As Clinical Lead Optometrist, your role is to:

Your Clinical Care – Excellence Without Compromise

You’ll practise in an environment where clinical quality is protected and celebrated:

• Conduct thorough, unhurried eye examinations with enthusiasm and care

• Clearly explain each stage of the examination so patients feel informed and confident

• Explore and discuss all appropriate vision correction and eye health options

• Agree and manage the next steps of the patient journey — and ensure they happen

• Set accurate recall types and timings collaboratively with patients

• Personally hand over patients to the next stage of their journey wherever possible

• Manage referrals and follow-ups promptly and professionally

Contact Lenses – Experience, Not Just Fitting

You’ll champion our contact lens service by:

• Introducing all suitable patients to the benefits of contact lenses

• Delivering high-quality fittings and aftercare

• Supporting colleagues involved in A&R and teaching, ensuring training and consistency

• Encouraging excellent sunglass and eye protection solutions

Advanced & Specialist Eyecare

You’ll have the opportunity to get involved in, lead, or develop services such as:

• Dry Eye Management

• Colourimetry

• Specialist & Advanced Contact Lenses

• Ortho-K

• Clinical Trials

• Laser Surgery Referral & Aftercare

• Community & Enhanced Eyecare Services

• Supervision of pre-registration Optometrists and Contact Lens Opticians

Leading the Practice Team

As Clinical Lead, you’ll work closely with the Practice Manager to:

• Ensure clinical support teams are well trained and confident

• Drive a culture of customer delight and professionalism

• Support efficient practice administration and governance

Leading the Clinical Team

You’ll be a clinical role model and mentor, responsible for:

• Keeping the clinical team aligned, supported, and up to date

• Delivering regular clinical one-to-ones

• Sharing best practice with Clinical Leads across the Eyesite group

• Supporting recruitment and development of future talent

Part of the Wider Eyesite Team

Beyond Brighton, you’ll:

• Contribute to group-wide clinical discussions

• Share ideas that improve care across all practices

• Help shape the future of independent optometry within Eyesite
