About the Role

We are part of the Minor Eye Conditions Scheme and, in addition to the usual MECS services, cataract refinement, and postoperative care, we also provide Children’s Vision Screening, Learning Disabilities support, and Hydroxychloroquine Screening.

At both practices, we recommend myopia management using Stellest spectacle lenses and CooperVision MiSight.

At Woolwich, we also fit and dispense Ortho-K night lenses. In the Woolwich practice, we also have our specialist Dry Eye Clinic, which utilizes the latest research in Ocular Surface Disease. We offer IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) and LLLT (Low-Level Light Therapy) treatments, along with ocular hygiene clinics.

• Blackheath, 178 Westcombe Hill, Blackheath Standard, SE3 7DH
• Woolwich, 11 Wellington Street, Woolwich, SE18 6PQ

Please note: You may be required to cover holidays at either of our practices (Woolwich or Blackheath).

The Style Part – We offer a variety of spectacles from many suppliers, ranging from independent brands to well-known high street designers. We have restarted Style Event days, where we showcase the entire range from one supplier, allowing our patients to choose from all the available colors, shapes, and sizes.

Lenses – To provide optimum vision, we use Essilor lenses and have Visioffice measuring equipment to ensure highly accurate measurements, so all parts of the lenses provide exceptional clarity and comfortable vision.

Contact Lenses – We are able to order from all suppliers and are expanding our Ortho-K night lenses. We are also beginning to fit more complex scleral lenses.
